Bold. Edgy. Fun.
This session is proof that when couples bring a clear vision and aren't afraid to have fun with it, the final images become more than “just photographs” —they become part of their story!
For their engagement session, Haley and Chris decided to skip the typical outdoor locations. Instead, we rented out a studio in downtown Cleveland.
From the very beginning, Haley told me she wanted the vibe of this session to feel like an “album cover”. So I ran with the idea and brought a completely different vision to life— something bold, creative, and a little edgy.
There was no pressure and no overthinking this session— just great energy and trusting the creative process. The result? Photos that feel relaxed, confident, and effortlessly fun.
These images weren't just used for engagement announcements— they later became band-style posters displayed throughout their wedding at Mahall’s Bowling Alley in Lakewood, Ohio.
And honestly… this is exactly what a 2+ hour engagement session can look like. A lot of couples worry that two hours sounds excessive, but that extra time creates space to slow down, settle in, and get creative. The result? More variety, more authentic moments, and a gallery that truly feels like them.
Instead of constantly watching the clock or rushing from one idea to the next, we had the freedom to experiment, play, explore different locations, and let the session unfold naturally. Hell, we even had time to grab a cocktail at Mahall’s 20 Lanes and Pins & Needles.
